Top Notch

This is my first real SA set for a Planck that i still very much learning on. The keycaps are solid in their "plonk" and the quality of the plastics is amazing. I'm sold on SA!

Safe bet

The simplistic design and the uniform profile makes this set a good choice for a first buy and I am pretty sure I won't get tired of the looks after a while.

They are pretty solid caps.

I like the caps for the most part. They feel great and look great but my biggest problem with them is that light from leds bleed through the top. It's nothing major, but just a heads up to people who this also annoys.

I really like them.

I personally love the feel of a real gritty PBT key. These are not gritty. I say this to warn anyone who hops they will feel the same as the PBT DSA keys you can purchase. With that said, these are fantastic. If you are looking to round out the keysets you own or are looking for a keyset with a tiny bit more texture than the ABS SA sets, pick this up. I was disappointed and thrilled at the same time. If I had to describe the texture I would say it feels almost like a chalk board, without the dryness one would likely associate with a chalk board.

Great set with room for improvement

I love this set, the PBT is so thick and so smooth, it makes the best hollow "thock" noise I've ever heard when it bottoms out. The single row sculpt allows for caps to be placed anywhere on the board and be moved around if necessary, which is great for the 60-70% customs that I like to use. The extra keycaps set is nice because it includes several odd sized caps for guys like me, including a 1.75U function key, but it only contains one of them, and I want two. It doesn't seem like SP is selling singles, so I would have to fork over another $50 just to get another function key. I suppose I could try to sell the rest, but that's a hassle with a dubious return. Also there are still sharp chads hanging off the back of the keys, which for an $130 set, you'd think SP could take the time to file those off. But that's nitpicking, I love this set and I'm so happy I got it. A must have for any keyboard enthusiast.

PMK quality! Looks and feels great

Every key is flawless and I love the smoothy feel. I love the solid feel of PTB better than my ABS keys (and ABS wears visibly).
The only gripe I have is that the Ortholinear kit uses a rotated comma for the apostrophe - you can even see it in the photo above and it looks bad (the true shape of an apostrophe is obviously different).

Uniform R3 defeats the purpose of SA profile
Posted by Xavier Howard on Jan 24th 2017
Quality is great - very little warping noticible for my Planck! Also, the colours are very sleek. Black legends on white bases are very clean.
My only two issues with the set are that they are made from PTB, not ABS, which affects their texture, causing them to not really be useable with the more common ABS SA sets. The PBT caps also seem to be slightly smaller than my ABS set, possibly due to heat?
The last issue is that the uniform R3 design largely defeats the purpose of the SA keysets, which I mostly adore for it's fully sculpted rows.
In future, I will stick to DSA for uniform, custom layout-friendly keysets.
Still, the set is gorgeous, and I would love to see a fully sculpted, ABS version of this.

Sharp set. Still a couple bugs

Overall the set looks and feels awesome. The space bar I got has some fitting issues with stabilizer stems. it doesn't hold on to them.

Nice feel overall

Like the clean look of this. The only problem I have is that the spacebar rubs the side stabilizers on my KUL ES-87. I've got a substitute on there right now until I decide on the best fix.

nice set

Hopefully there will be more sets kept in stock in the future so everyone can own one. We also need additional keys for the different keyboard layouts, 1800, winkeyless, etc.
